*Please note hosts are never required to review a book to participate in a tour. Reviews are always welcome, but we understand that ARC's can pile up sometimes #MoodReadersUnite. All hosts, regardless of ability to post a review during the time frame of the tour, will have the option to receive an ARC of the book they're promoting.

around here tour host equals ticket hold

Sign-ups are sent a month or two prior to a book's release date, although time frames vary - and are open for at least 3 days, and up to two weeks based on the overall schedule ability of the author and Paper Myths. Once sign-ups have ended, tour hosts will be selected and notified via the email provided within 72 hours of the sign-up closing date.

To ensure they’re still able to participate in the tour, hosts will have 48 hours to reply to the email confirming they’re able to post on the day (or during the time frame of the tour) they signed up for. If you do not reply to the email within 48 hours, your spot will be forfeit and another host will be chosen.

You will be sent a copy of the book prior to the start of the tour, if applicable, (typically within a week of confirmation that you are still interested in participating in the tour - but shipping times for physical books vary greatly, and could take longer. E-books will be sent within 7 days. If you do not receive your ebook, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work to rectify the situation).

About a week prior to the start of the tour - hosts will receive a final email from Paper Myths Media reminding them of their scheduled date to participate in the tour, the link to post in your bio (or whatever link system you use), and any hashtags and accounts required to be posted with your caption. Caption guides for posts will be provided to hosts for ease of posting but hosts aren’t required to use our exact phrasing, (We want your unique style to shine through here!) but hosts are required to tag the accounts provided in their posts and use any hashtags requested (up to three maximum).

what we look for in ticket holders.png

Here at Paper Myths, we know how hard it is for authors to really get the word out about their books so our top priorities when choosing hosts, in no particular order, are the following: Picture Quality/Originality, Account Interaction, and of course Follower Count. Ideally, you’ve got over 1,000 followers on the Gram, but if you’re still getting started on that platform and have a higher follower count on other platforms, please DO let us know so we can take that into consideration!

We prefer creative and book-focused accounts but are always willing to switch it up and try new things. If you’re not sure your account content fits with what we're looking for (which by the way, no matter what, it's your feed, so you do you - always!), feel free to drop us a note on Insta or email us!

So you want to be a host?! Awesome! We’d love to have you join us in spreading the love of new adult and adult paranormal and fantasy romance to fellow book lovers! Remember, signing up for a tour doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be a host, so signing up for multiple tours will increase your chances of participation! Make sure to read all the nitty-gritty details before you fill out the form by clicking Host Sign-Up below.

As a host, you will be required to post an original picture with the book as the main focus - not just the cover or a pre-made graphic unless a graphic has been provided (in which case the sign-up form for that tour will display the required graphic so you can decide ahead of time if you can or can’t post it.) You are required to post on your scheduled date (which you can choose when you sign up for each tour), by 8 pm EST. We understand life happens, so if something comes up and you’re unable to post on your day, drop us a line on IG so we can make a note. If you’re unable to post at all, an email to us is required (although the details of why are none of our business) so we don’t block you from signing up for future tours.

Hosts are required to tag the accounts provided in their posts and use any hashtags requested (up to three maximum - not including the #PaperMyths hashtag), but the rest of the content is up to you - or you can copy and paste what we provide, whatever works for you and your individual vibe.

You’re also required to post a link to the book in your bio (or whatever linking app you use) on your scheduled day (an affiliate link will be provided so we can keep track of who’s posting it etc.) and your post should be your most recent post for at least a few hours as a courtesy for the author who’s providing a free book in exchange for your help getting the word out!

Posting a story, reel, or on other platforms, isn’t required but is always greatly appreciated!
